Capacitor Dance Company
San Francisco
Capacitor’s award-winning work has been praised by The New York Times as “ingenious.” Capacitor’s Artistic Director, Jodi Lomask, will collaborate with dancers to create highly visual (and biological) images and rhythms.
Lomask is an entrepreneur, sculptor, director, producer, choreographer, and environmentalist. She will feature in a solo dance titled ‘The Perfect Flower.’ In addition, she has choreographed a duet, ‘Art Within Nature’ for a second Art Hike site.
Lomask has created for Disney's World Showcase and Future World, and has been commissioned to create original works for Apple, NASA, TED, SFO, the Discovery Channel, Computers and Structures, the California Academy of Sciences. Lomask trained at the Royal Ballet Academy and London Contemporary Dance School. Capacitor Dances will aim to be the embodiment of creative science, wild nature, and honest expression. Their works aspire to offer unprecedented excellence rooted in inquiry, collaboration, and the integration of body and mind.
