Wolf Pack Taiko is a student-run Japanese drumming ensemble based in the University of Nevada, Reno. Due to its upbringing as the sole Nevada collegiate taiko group of its time, Wolf Pack Taiko plays with a distinct passion to share the art of taiko with communities anywhere from the UNR campus to the woods of Lake Tahoe.
Four years ago, Juliann Schultz and Lisa Cervantes founded Wolf Pack Taiko as a space where anyone could walk in and learn taiko. Though the club's founding members have since moved on to other chapters in their lives, the welcoming spirit they established only burns brighter with every new generation. To this day, the students work tirelessly to continue to spread the love for taiko and uplift future generations of taiko players.
“We play for the people that came before us, and for those that will come after us.”
